I provide payroll support rather than running payroll for you. I help set up and review your payroll in QuickBooks Payroll or Gusto, record the entries in your books, and keep your payroll records accurate and organized, while you stay in control of approving each pay run. Which payroll systems do you support?
I support QuickBooks Payroll and Gusto. I am a Gusto Certified Partner and a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor, so I know both platforms well. If you are already running payroll somewhere else, reach out anyway, because I can usually still help with the bookkeeping side of your payroll.
Do you handle payroll taxes and filings?
Payroll tax filings are handled by your payroll platform, and what I can support depends on how your system is set up and what we agree on. I help make sure your payroll liabilities are tracked correctly, your records line up, and nothing gets missed at year end. I do not provide tax or legal advice, and final responsibility for approving and filing stays with you as the business owner.
Can you help if I am already behind on payroll?
Yes. Being behind on payroll records is more common than most owners think, and it is fixable. I will review where things stand, get your payroll entries and records caught up and reconciled, and then keep them current going forward. No judgment, because I do a lot of catch-up work.
Is payroll support included in monthly bookkeeping?
Payroll support is a separate service from monthly bookkeeping, priced by quote, because payroll needs vary a lot from one business to the next. Plenty of clients combine the two and have me handle both. Tell me what you are running and I will tell you what makes sense.
